1911 Gunsmithing Fixture/Jig

This gunsmithing fixture/jig is what you need to do most work on any Series 70 or Series 80 1911 frame. It can be used for building new or servicing used frames. The inside and top right of the fixture/jig is relieved so the grip screw estutions and plunger tube do not need to be removed when mounting a frame. Included is a .201 gauge pin and a .156 shim stock pin to align the frame. The hammer and sear pin holes are drilled and a spacer is included to maintain alignment of the fixture when it is mounted in a vice. The .156 pin can be inserted through the mainspring housing pin hole or the grip safety hole if you are working on a compact frame.

This fixture/jig is made from 6061 aluminum.
